When It comes to professional or amateur music production in home studio's or commercial studio's,there are lot of softwares on the market like,Adobe Audition,Cakewalk Music creator & Sonar,Sony Sound Forge,Reason,Fruity Loops Studio,Digi Design pro tools,Logic Pro (for Mac Users Only), Acoustica Mixcraft, Ableton Live, Audacity, Steinberg Cubase,Steinberg Nuendo & a lot more which can all do almost the same job but in everything there is a good,bad,worse and of course the best.Among them all I've used most of them (not all though) and in my own opinion and in the opinion of most professional recording & mixing engineers,Steinberg Cubase by Steinberg Technologies is the best of them all.
Steinberg Cubase is not just unique in its ways of working but have a great GUI for easy use by its users,It is loaded with lots of the best VST/DXi plug ins like reverb,compressors and limiters,Noise Gate,Delay,Chorus and lots more.It is midi capable,meaning you can plug in your keyboard or hardware and use it with the software or even make beats with it.it also has a Re-Wire function which works with fruity loops and most of the production softwares for joint production.Cubase is a VST/DXi enabled which means you can load your various VST/DXi instruments and plug ins into it and it will work perfectly.Steinberg Cubase is simply the best.The current version is the Steinberg Cubase SX4 but I use the SX3.Cubase is a software for every yet to be or already recording or mixing engineer,its got the right tools for the Job.What I love about Cubase is that,even with the cheapest and "wackiest" microphone it can make clean recordings without noises,click and crackles and with its advanced noise gate,you'll never be disappointed.
